Background

The Art Republic was founded in 2002 as an instrument of social re-engineering. It uses the socializing and humanizing tendencies of art and the cultural enterprise in its quest to contribute to social development in Nigeria and Africa.

In its activities and programmes, The Art Republic focuses primarily on the work of young artists, art students and children, although it also supports the work of established artists.

Youths in Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics are invited to submit entries for The Third Peace Poster Competition & Exhibition.

All entries must be on paper of archival and acid-free quality, measuring not less than 17x24 inches.

Entries must address the theme of “Peace”.
Deadline for submission: December 30, 2008.

20th Century Registration Form

Nigerian artists of all generations (up until the last decade of the 20th Century) are invited to submit works reflecting important stages in the development of their careers.
